Emmanuel Adebayor Doing Charity Work in His Home Country

Emmanuel Adebayor visited a local community in Togo for a special assignment on Friday. Although the 38-year-old, who is unofficially retired, has continued to embark on ambassadorial works in and out of Africa. In recent times he has helped various foundations in his country of Togo.

He is also said to attend to several of his businesses in Togo as well as other charity works to help improve the livelihood of the less privileged. Only recently, he pledged to sponsor the education of a brilliant Togolese student known as Godwin Sodji through his initiative to help the weaker sections.

Adebayor, through his new Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor foundation, will foot the educational bills of young Sodji as he starts his education at the African Institute of Sciences, Technologies, and Trade. Additionally, Emmanuel Adebayor congratulated the student for emerging top in a national exam in Togo and promised to help him to realize his dreams of pursuing Law and Political Science. This is a great step for the future of the young promising student.

The superstar, who featured for top European clubs, including Arsenal and Manchester City, could not help but express joy as youths marched with him in a local community. Even the local people flocked in large numbers as they came to know about the superstar visiting their locality. Some of the youths could be heard saying ‘Welcome Sheyi’ while another voice was heard screaming ‘clear the way’, as many of the youths brought out their phones and clicked away as they all expressed delight to see arguably one of the most famous sports celebrity of the country in recent times. People were in high spirits to catch a glimpse of the superstar with many clicking pictures with the legend himself.
