Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor has said that Bolton Wanderers player Fabrice Muamba is making excellent progress in his attempt to recover from the heart problem. Fabrice Muamba collapsed on the field while playing in the FA Cup quarter-final match with Tottenham at the White Hart Lane.
The match was immediately abandoned and Fabrice Muamba was taken to the hospital. He has been in the intensive care unit of the London chest Hospital and it is thought that he has been making great progress in his attempts to recover from the condition. Emmanuel Adebayor was on the pitch while Fabrice Muamba collapsed. The Togo striker recently visited the fellow African at the hospital and has said that Muamba has been making excellent progress.
The condition of the 23-year-old Bolton player has sufficiently improved in such a way that he has now been moved to the stable condition from the critical condition. There has been no news regarding the possible replay of the FA Cup match between Bolton and Tottenham. Further, Bolton Wanderers will also not be playing against Blackburn on Wednesday. The replacement date for the fixture is yet to be announced by the FA. Emmanuel Adebayor is currently on loan from Manchester City till the end of the season.
“At the moment it’s looking good. As a brother, as a friend, it’s a big relief. We are very happy the medics from Bolton and Tottenham did a great job – and we have to thank the almighty God as well. Hopefully he’ll recover very quickly. Now we have to see how, when they put him on his feet, he reacts as well. That’s another test,” Emmanuel Adebayor said after making a visit to see Muamba. Adebayor revealed that Muamba is now able to speak a few words.
