ADEBAYOR SETS HOME TARGET

Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor has said that the club needs to win at least four matches at home this season in the next few months in order to have a realistic chance of finishing in the top four by the end of the season.

Tottenham were initially expected to challenge for the top four positions this season, but they have more than exceeded expectations by remaining very close to the title challengers like Manchester City and Manchester United. The two Manchester clubs are expected to be the ones in the title race by the end of the season, but Tottenham have proved that they can more than challenge them.

However, striker Emmanuel Adebayor, who is on loan from leaders Manchester City, has said that the club have a real chance of finishing in the top four, but they need to win their next four home matches in order to have any chance of doing it. Tottenham have been excellent at home this season and have not been beaten since the opening day defeat at the hands of Manchester City. In fact, since suffering the two back-to-back defeats on the opening two weekends, Tottenham have been by far the most consistent team in the Premier League.

” The season will be long and tough but we just have to keep going, keep believing we can get in that top four and if you want to finish in the top four these are the games you cannot lose or draw. West Brom is going to be an important game for us,” Emmanuel Adebayor said when asked about his team’s chances of finishing in the top four. Tottenham are currently ahead of Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool in the table. Only Manchester United and Manchester City are ahead of Tottenham, although Spurs do have a game in hand.
